Front:
This artistic shirt has a pencil drawing of Beethoven in a mood, concentrating. Bordering him are names of his famous works in graceful handwriting: "Eroica Symphony, Emperor Concerto, Moonlight Sonata, Pastoral Symphony, Choral Symphony #9, Appassionata Sonata, Missa Solemnis, Fidelio, Leonore. Below his portrait are words about his life: Beethoven was a new breed of musician, a free lance composer. Before his time most composers worked either for church or court. After ten successful years he began to lose his hearing. Deafness seemed to increase his composing ability! Beethoven reflected both the American and French revolutions, a period of violent change and the importance of the common man. His music went from aristocratic elegance and grace to dramatic and explosive changes in progression of composition."

Back:
On the back is a picture of Beethoven masterminding at his desk/piano, cluttered with papers. Accompanying two other etchings (in Beethoven's handwriting) of his music scores, are these words: "Beethoven, throughout his life, kept all his ideas from beginning to end of a composition in a musical sketchbook ... The opening of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony makes it his most recognizable composition ... Beethoven's Ninth Symphony represented the thoughts of over thirty years and combined a new concept ~ the combining of voice and orchestra."
